Nomad

Nomads are group of people who defect from the lifestyle they are initially given, by barons, in the Badlands. Some are former cogs or even clippers and they usually travel in groups with other nomads alike. They fall on a spectrum, ranging from menaces to society or freedom fighters who rebel against dictators. They normally look out for no one but themselves.[1]

Nomads mostly reside in the Outlying Territories where they can escape the reach of the barons, though small numbers of them appear to live in or at least pass through the Badlands. There is no clear hierarchy of power among the nomads but some individuals such as The Engineer are shown to have gained power through fear. Within the nomads there appear to be different factions, such as the religious Totemists.

History[]

A specific group of nomads were hired by The Widow to take down one of the Quinn's cargo in order to kidnap a young cog. Eventually, Sunny traced down the nomads and fought them off one by one, ultimately killing them all.[2]
